horn not working
my horn isn't working in my gsr. i haven't had time to trace all the wirings but i think it might be the horn itself because when you press the button, you can hear a clicking like from a relay from under the dash so i know theres power going up th there and on. what else can i do to try troubleshooting this problem? any suggestion is welcome.
check the fuse under the hood, likely blown, if you put one back in and it blows again your horn most likely is shorting out. I had the same problem, replaced the horn and now its all working.
like i've said, i'm getting power - thats why the relay's clicking but no sound. more then likely it's the horn itself or a wiring to the horn. will look into that. question: how much do horns go for? do they carry then at auto parts store or do i need to go to a bone yard? are civics the same?
try checking the wire that runs to the horn under the bumper. mine was corroded from all the damn new england salt during the winters. if that's the case, cut and splice.
pulled the horn out and noticed that the plug was cracked and one of the leads there broke and wasn't making contact. theres my problem. now i got to go to a junkyard to find another one. checked on ebay and found a pair for a legend. i'm wondering if the plugs are the same - i mean theres two of them (compared to one horn in integra - right?) so i would have to hardwire it in anyway. well, hopefully one of it will be a direct plug in. anyone here have an extra integra horn laying around?
