GSR tranny on LS motor
Hey quick question guys...been having trouble getting a definative answer...will a GSR hydraulic tranny fit on an 99 LS motor with the stock ls clutch and flywheel? i mean i know it bolts up...but some people have been saying that the tranny wont fit with the clutch...so will a new clutch be needed?
Thanks in advance

hehe long story...its not for me...gsr tranny is coming off of my car onto someone elses...just wanted to make sure it would fit on his car so he wouldnt get screwed...i AM getin a b16 tranny...
is the gears on a GSR tranny as short as the b16 trannys ? cause when cruising on the freeway with the LS/b16tranny at around 60-65 you're at around4k RPMS. how much different is it with a GSR tranny ?

yes! definately worth it!! although a b16 or ITR tranny would be an even better upgrade. unless you're going for big numbers then sometimes many would prefer the GSR tranny over the shorter gears of the b16 and ITR.

ls trannies are way longer than b16. a b16 at 80 is around 4500 rpm, an ls would put you around 3500 rpm.
