I was wondering why is a b16 head better that a gsr or type R or B17 head
is it better than the rest and why is it

 

All I know is when honda designed the 1.8l type-r engine they switched the head to a b16 casting cause they thought is was better. I don't know the technical reasons why but I trust their engineering. Remember that the b16 combustion chamber is larger in cc's and a stock intake manifold can be used on a b16, the gsr one is slow flow.
