What tires does everyone have on their Accords?
I know there is a Wheel and Tire forum, but they couldn't really help me much.
I really want to know what everyone has on their accords, preferably 94-97, but any year will help me out.
I'm looking to buy something a bit more performace oriented, but also All-Season. Since I live in michigan, I want something that will work in rain and snow.
I want something that will last a pretty long time, but I don't expect it to last forever. a 400 treadlife should be fine.
I've looked at the Toyo Proxes TPT, belle tire wanted $450 for them.
I also looked at the Yokohama AVID Touring, $385 from discount tire, but those aren't performance oriented.
I'm now looking at the Falken ZE-512; so far they look pretty damn nice, but I don't know yet. Some people are saying they wear very fast, some people are saying they aren't. $327 at discount tire.

I really need everyone's help. right now I have these HORRIBLE "classe premiere" tires, no names made in korea, I have no idea what they are. Those are the front tires; the rear tires are these crappy Warrior tires.
thanks in advance you guys.

I am running kumho's 712 summer tire, i am running with them all year long since we do not have a real winter here in socal.
512 is a great choice as far as all season goes, reasonably priced, solid everyday driven performance tires.

to address the question you have about 512's threadwear.
i don't see how they are wearing fast, i got a close friend been driving around in his accord for couple of year. the azenis sport wore out super fast that all i can say.

I have Yokohama Avid H4s... size 215-45-17... 500 AA A rating.
I've had them on for a little over 10,000 miles. They're "high performance all-season" tires, and that's exactly how they act. They're quiet, and provide excellent dry traction and wet traction, and I would have to say they resist hydroplaning better than any other tire I've driven on.
Treadwear is great. 10,000 miles of semi-hard daily driving and very little tread wear. They should easily last to at least 60,000 miles for me.

I ran the ZE-512's for a while, 18's, and they wear at a decent rate. About 30,000 miles and I pushed them hard. The biggest thing is that you need to rotate them or yeah, they will wear real DAMN fast!
Anyways, good tires, stick very well especially in water. Hope that helps!

Here's the deal from http://www.tires.com .... $45 each, plus shipping, mount and balance, for 195/65-15. You can easily price other sizes, too.
I'm thinking about them, too and the Toyo Proxis TPT, the Toyo's are a LOT more money. By the way, check the tires.com site for installers; they have good prices for mount and balance....

Toyo Proxes TPT's stock size on my stock rims on my 96. I like them a lot. I paid $71 a tire and that included mounting and balancing. I did have to drive 2 hours to get them though as no one around here sold them although they were worth it. They do great on dry pavement and pretty good in the rain. The one complaint I have is they seem to squeal easily when turning sharp on old backroads going 40+mph. Not bad though but they seem to make a noise but the car doesn't slide or anything. I didn't notice this when I first got them but I think they always have done it and with my previous tires I didn't really drive these roads so I think it probably is something most tires do. I think I had BFG tires before these and these are much better and don't slip as easily.
I run 205/55/15's Kumho Ecsta 711's on the stock 5.5" EX wheels. I'm happy. They're cheap, and traction is pretty good so far. Things may change when I run more boost. 50's are too low a profile for the 15's IMO and I wanted a larger footprint to help with traction.

I used to run 195/60/15's Yokohama AVS's, but they wear quickly - especially when you don't rotate them

when comapring tread wear ratings between different brands is not very accurate..since all companys rate there tread wear differently, just though i'll let u know...as far as all season HP tires...i wud say proxes 4, neo gen(though im not a big fan of em, they r designed for cars with bad camber, and everyone knows accords have hella camber probs when lowered), and pirelli pn(z?)ero M+S(dunt remembver exact name, but u can go look it up, and if its from pirelli u know its damn good!)
I am on my second set of the Ziex 512s. The first set only lasted about 8 months. The set I have right now has been on for a year and the tread is still very good. I have not changed driving styles, although I did get an alignment with the second set. I believe they come in 2 speed ratings which may wear differently. They are great tires tho.
kniob, im in the same boat....except my car is gonna be garaged for most of the year starting this fall (ill be at MSU, free spot in my garage back home)....
ive got the Yoko Avid Toureres.....theyre great for daily driving, very quiet, handle the way i want them to in the snow
, and have amazing tread wear, which is good considereing im running some negative camber and toe in in the rear......but as soon as i try to push them, they will fight back.....i can chirp them going into 2nd with little ease, because they dont hold very well under heavy acceleration.....
im looking at either the ES100s or the H4s.....its basically a toss up between more grip in the summer and being able to properly drive the car in the winter, and not wear out too fast

I'll say the ES100's are a great summer tire but when it comes to now you can pretty much forget about it..
You can get around in light to moderate snow with just the right amount of throttle. But for any kind of serious snow you'd need something else.
