DPFI to MPFI question on distributer
Ok... heres my problem i dont understand how connecting the si connector works when there are only 5 wires coming out of the distributer and not of them are the blue/yellow and blue/green wires you need to connect to the ecu. I know people do this with the dx/lx distributer and i dont feel like putting on an si head to use an si distributer please help me out thanx.
You must run cps wires to the ecu for the c1 and c2 positions on the ecu. The exhisting c1 and c2 must be switched to b10 and b12.

dx has only 5 wires on the dizzy and si has 7 wires... i dont know where you got your 411 that other peeps connect cps wiring to the ecu wid the dx/lx dizzy... just not possible... cps wiring only came wid mpfi setup... you only hardwire the cps connect to the ecu when using the si dizzy...not dx dizzy...
to answer your next question.. no you dont have to put an si head to use a si dizzy... if you got a dpfi setup all you got to do is change the intake manifold to a mpfi setup intake manifold and do the dpfi to mpfi wiring conversion...
for ex. i got my dpfi d15b2 and i want to make it a mpfi setup... all i got to do is change my intake manifold setup to a mpfi intake manifold (ex a6, z6, y8) and then use a si (a6 dizzy) and do the wiring conversion... and there you got i have a mpfi d15b2 setup...

The Si distributor plug will plug into the DX harness-side plug, right? And can't you rewire the DX plug so that the wires match the Si distributor?

nope it won't... what you can do is de-pin it and use the dx plug into the si dizzy and just hardwire the cps 2 wires...
