90 b16 crx timing (searched)

Default 90 b16 crx timing (searched)

ok in my 89 Si manual it says theres twon wires u have to jump. i looked at my 89 and yup there ya go a yellow plug with two wires. my 90 Si does not have that plug. i looked under pass. side dash also....no plug. so where is it? i looked everywhere. i dont have a 90 book cuz most of the stuff is the same and the book costed me like 80 buckaroos. i know how to time the b16, 16 degrees red mark. but WHERE DO I JUMO THE ECU?!?!?!?! please help

what do you need to jump the ecu for? i timed my car without touching the ecu... u turn the dizzy in order to set timing or am i just not getting what your saying?

Yes, you need to jump the ecu otherwise it will try to correct itself when you move the dizzy.

btw- the connector on your 90 it should be uner the passenger side of the dash, that is where mine was. You need to jump the the brown and green/white wires.

is there a plug like there was on my 89, or do i just look for two wires that are brown and green/white. i looked and theres only plugs with like 4 or 6 wires. tia

i usually just take a paper clip and put the ends inside of the plug.

then time the motor.

remove paper clip and i'm good to go.

The plug is under the dash to the right of the passenger compartment... next to the glove box.

Hmm on my 88 CRX DX. There is a little plug on the driver's side of the engine bay that has a yellow cover. I have to jump those two (connect two wires into the plug) and then time the car.
