Just wondering if this will do a basic job of keeping bastards away from my car. I don't want a ton of bells and whistles, I just want a good alarm that will deter those who might think about jacking my ride.

Prestige by Audiovox is a good alarm. Almost indestructible I might say. The only pain in the but is the programming.

 

IMO great alarm, lots of features if you go models like the 750 + , plus it's easy to add stuff on.

THe most important part of any alarm and it's security is the install of course, so make sure you get it done right
