what powers the oil pump in a h22? does it work off the crank

i believe it's the balancer belt drive pulley and it yes it works off the crankshaft.

i thought that the oil pump was powered off of the crank BUT not the balancer shaft belt...

It is the crank. The gear actually slides over and around the crankshaft. The balancer shaft belt has nothing to do with it.

yeah my mistake.. it's powered off the crank
