Default Launching

I've read quite a bit on launching in the threads...The only thing I haven't found yet is reaction time. For some reason, I'm getting 1.2 steadily. Is there a technique on timing the green?

I'm seeing slips with .1 and such. That's a second difference on my 1/4 mile if I get that right.

no your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. i dont really know what to tell you on how to improve...i guess the more time you spend at the track the better your lights will get. you just have to anticipate when you need to go.

just like Turbo-charged said your reaction time has nothing to do with your et.
I like to nail it as soon as I see the last yellow. The less thinking involved in launching your car the better your rt times will get. practice practice.

I appreciate the help. For some reason, I thought that others would get red from starting that early, but they aren't. I guess I'll do the same <what you all said> and start at the end of yellow. I am running street tires and that was the first time ever on a drag way. I'm looking forward to driving better and getting low 15's.

Reaction 1.2
60Ft 2.3
1/8ET 10.3
1/8MPH 69.3
1/4ET 15.8
1/4MPH 89.0
