Okay dewds and dewdettes, Budman (Jeff) made a little video to help those not familiar with Gingerman.

Nice... You know I was thinking about this so that I could learn the cornors a little bit. You know, so FL/NC can own Gingerman
Thanks for the great video... I've got to memorize it like I did most of the tracks in GT3

Whats top speed on that track? It looks fast. Also the start of the video is coming out of cornor 11 right? I was told 11 is the one to look out for, whats the big deal about it?

Wes
go to wide & you can carry into the wall & since it's the longest straight you gotta carry as much into it as you can... I started the video there so you'd get a good view down the entire front straight & stopped it when he crossed the finish line before passing the crap in front of him.
I'll try & get some other vipers & stuff being passed by WD from that weekend. Give me a few days ;-)

With stock gearing, you can drive the entire track in third gear. There's not much to be gained from going down to second anywhere (you'll just need to upshift again by the track-out point), and you won't run out of revs anywhere except the very end of the straight going into 11.
It also gives you one less distraction.

The car in the video is the King Type R with the JDM final drive and 9200 redline. In the video, I never went to second gear, just went btwn 3rd & 4th. Nick Wong did tell me though, that a little bit more than a second could be gained by going into second in a few of the turns (with this car).
Ken, won't a lot of the running out of revs in 3rd depend upon suspension, tires, etc.?
