Roaring in Rear of 91 CRX SI
When driving I'm hearing a roaring sound in the driver's side rear of my si. Could this be a wheel bearing problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
it is most likely your wheel bearing...pretty easy to do, cost about $110 for all parts needed from honda...

sometimes its just tire noise...
but if it gets somewhat high pitched, then its a wheel bearing.
lift the corner, turn the wheel, feel for some roughness. that will tell you.

it's not a high pitch sound. It's definitely a roaring sound. From the insider of the car it sounds as if I have big Four Wheel Drive tires on the car but the noise is only coming from teh back. I have the same tires on all 4's and I don't hear it in the front or the passenger side rear. When I roll down the window I do hear tire noise coming from the rear driver's side though.

wow $110, never ever spend $110 on some honda oem parts. Go on ebay, i think there are alot of different bearings that fit in the rear hub of 88-91s.. i even think 92-95 bears do. CHEAP! just look around!
