DPFI to MPFI - No reverse lights!
I have a 1990 Civic Sedan that I swapped the DPFI for a MPFI and now have one electrical glitch: I have no reverse lights. The switch seems to be wired incorrectly because if you shut off the car while in reverse, it will keep running! If you shift out of reverse, the engine shuts down.
Obviously, I have something in the wrong place at the ECU, but what?

smoking a 2.2 gram blunt before wiring @ ecu = not recommended... haha jp
just check all your wires @ your ecu. and then check them again.

is that an automatic chassis?
You guys need to research before you start messing with your wires, damn. All these damn people trying to swap to mpfi so they can make their own homemadeturbo, shame shame

Do the reverse lights even go through the ecu? I cant think of any reason why the reverse lights would be affected by an mpfi swap... Unless you tapped into the reverse light switch on the top of the tranny somehow.

Not an automatic, 5-speed.
The reverse lights tie to the ECU at B13 (I think) the same circuit that carries the Check Engine Light. I pulled that wire, but it had no effect other than the CEL is disabled.
The #1 fuse under the hood, that you remove to clear the ECU trouble codes, also connects to the reverse lights. So it's all tied in somehow.
I only swapped 2 wires at the ECU, so it has to be something related to that.
I may just trace the wires and run my own for the reverse lights to avoid the ECU alltogether!
