ok im replacing the clutch on my 89 crx dx. and it a pain in the ***. i mean we spent 2 days just trying to get access to the transmission. bolts were torqued down way too hard and there was minimal access for your hands to move around in. has anyone else had this problem?

 

typical for old 15+ yr old bolts, use pbblaster and soak it down for awhile

 

yea ive used PB and even still it was hard. i stripped the bolt on a 2 arm puller that rented from autozone. then i got a 2 prong fork and pounded it w/ a hammer to get it loose. this is my first honda but i know alot about them. i never thought it would take this long

 

i hit mine with impact wrench and a 4 foot long bar to get them off. It was no fun.

 

yea those old bolts are bitches... just takes long....

 

i dont know about you, i'd rather unplug a couple harnesses.. and remove unmount the engine...

just pull it out ten replace the clutch, makes life easy.
