Default Hesitant Acceleration

Ok ive read counteless threads about hesitation and bogging but none of them have proved anything to work worth a damn.

Of course everyone will suggest the following

1. timing
2. spark plugs
3. dizzy
4. wires
5. map
6. tps
7. iacv

now i no that all of these are fine minus the timing which could be slighty off. but reason i believe this isnt the problem is because it just started doing this. and i havent moved the distrubtor since setting it 6k ago

Does your do it in every gear? I'm still trying to figure out what is wrong with mine.

Newer distributor, new plugs and wires, new fuel filter. None of those fixed it yet either.

Mine is also kind of odd, it doesn't do it until almost red line in 1st and 2nd gear but in all the above it will start randomly above 5k.

just change it if you NEVER have. it's cheap under 15 bux and it's worth it to your car to take care of it

ok what my **** does.

say im at partial throttle (gear doesnt matter) if i stay at this position steadily for about 3 secs i can literally feel a loss in power. normally you can feel the car start to pull, but i can feel it fall off. then when i put my foot down, the rpms and stuff rise normal but it wont be going anywhere. someitmes vtec will or wont engage during tthis crackhead acceleration. then when i get up to about 8k it sounds like im at like 9k and something isnt pushing anymore. i cant even get the car past 110

i have a 96 integra ls with gsr swap and chipped ecu with speed limiter cut turned off

i'm only saying it one more time it's a fuel delivery issue, eaisest thing to do would be the filter....start there and get back to us

I might be wrong, but by the way you just stated it, it sounds like your clutch might be slipping. How long have you had your clutch in there?

well its only about 6-8 months old its a 4 puck un sprung clutch. i think the lack of acceleration has to do with a busted rear mount and the motor touqres backward alot. i ccant belive i forgot about it. also i changed the fuel filter out and added some fuel system cleaner and things seem to be smoother now. once i get the mount situation cleared up i think all will be great

oh ok, cool.
If you don't mind added vibration, give the JimFab mounts a try. I put them on my teg a little while ago, and they're great.

actually we have a better way around here of making "solid" mounts. its called 3M window weld. (the black kind) it gets hard as a damn rock and works perfect

the fuel pump can have a clog too, or can have the bedris from gas and needs some cleaner to pass more gas in the hole.
