type r valve train question
I have a LSVTEC but I'm going boost I want to know if is a good idea to put all the type r internal in the head for boost, I'm building the bottom end as well,
Regarding internals, only the valve springs and intake valves differ from a B18C1 head . I'm not sure about the B16A heads. How high do you plan to rev?

I'm planning to rev it to 8 or 8.5 I have all the type r head stuff, the valves valve springs retainers, cams. but I'm trying to built something dependable on boost. but i dont know if i should keep the internals of the gs-r or upgrade to the type r
If you are planning to rebuild the head, add the Type R components. If you don't need to rebuild, the only advantages that you will gain are slightly better flowing intake valves and an slightly extended rev range, but you have to rebuild the head. The ITR cam overlap may be detrimental in a boost situation.

yeah, aren't smaller cams better for boost? sell the type r stuff for more boost stuff.
