injen cai - aem v2 cai...
The AEM V2 is not a CAI. It is a short ram intake. A CAI should give you better results so between those two I would say the Injen. The differences will be minimal either way though.

unquestionably the CAI. like Lucid said, the V2 is not a cold air, but a SRI (which tends to suffer from heatsoak).
if your looking for max gains, go CAI (but risk hydrolock). if you want some gains, and NO risk of hydrolock, go V2.

I have an ep3 and have run a stock air box,an Injen CAI and a K&N Typhoon SRI and have to say the stock air box works the best because of its design. I would recommend just a drop in filter. You can get a K&N for like $40 or you can go all out and get a Mugen or Spoon one for $125-150.

I took this from Spoon's web site:
"Upon full opening of the throttle, a huge volume of air is drawn in at highspeeds. Meanwhile, when the throttle is closed, an inertial force acts and air is compressed at the instant just prior to full closing. When the accelerator is subsequently depressed, the sealed cleaner box is subjected to a more intense vacuum as a result of the reaction to compression. The efficiency of replenishment is increased a result of this action, and accordingly, the air-intake system of the Honda NA is both extremely ingenious and highly necessary."
I have no idea how much horsepower or torque you will gain as I have not seen any before and after dyno plots with just a drop in filter but what you should notice is a good horsepower and torque increase throughout the ENTIRE powerband. This is in contrast to the traditional pipe and cone filter intakes which generally start making power from about midway all the way to top of the powerband but generally suffer a loss in power in the lower rpms.

Wouldnt it be interesting if we all should be using drop ins instead of V2's or CAI's???? Anyone got a dyno of a drop in?

not really, but it'll make your life a LOT easier if you do. just be careful removing the bumper clips. use a flathead and maybe wrap the tip in some cloth or tape so it wont scratch
