Ipod installation problem....
I was recently trying to install my Ipod into my 5th generation Honda Prelude. However, I'm running into problems with the sound ONLY coming out of only the front speakers. This is how I set up: I plugged my cables (red/white) into the AUX port/Line-in port, and when i play my ipod, only sound is coming out of the front speakers and I cannot adjust the volume. Is there anything I can do to make this work? Also, the headunit I am using is the Alpine CDA-7864 (kinda old). Thanks for any advice.

</TD></TR></TABLE> I'm not sure I understand how you have thd iPod plugged into the Alpine, ["AUX port/line-in port"] Are you using an adpt. that lets you use the changer input, [AI-Net port] on the HU as an AUX. input, or is the iPod plugged into one of the two sets of RCA pigtails on the back of the HU, [front and rear/sub. preamp OUTPUTS, (the rears can be switched to non fading sub. output]

I'm sorry, I meant my FRONT SPEAKERS.
And yes, I have my iPod plugged into one of the two sets of RCA pigtails on the back of my HU.
Let me clarify the problem more. The sound is only coming from the 2 FRONT speakers, and when when I play my ipod, i can hear it while my tuner is on, and when my cd-player is playing (it sounds like its playing in the background).
Also, can you tell me more about this adapter? What does it do? Where can i purchase it from? I'm clueless. Thanks!

Modified by SH_Mon at 12:28 AM 5/22/2005</TD></TR></TABLE>Ok... you are pluged into an output, Alpine makes 2 adpt. for your HU, an iPod interface, [not sure if it will work with the 7864] and an AUX. adpt., [it uses the AI-Net port] check at http://www.alpine.com or go to your local Alpine dealer and ask them, for now though, unplug the iPod from the HU, so it doesn't do any damage.
