I am in the same boat. I have a CTR B16B in my hatch. Which forum to call home. Hybrid,Civic,or ITR... hmmmmmmm.....

 

I want it. I would definitely sell my ITR for that CTR.

If anybody is interested in a '98 ITR w/JDM HID front end please let me know. The body is extremely straight there are no rock chips anywhere on the body. Same here, seen it at the last Moroso event in December. But, if you look at closely, its been wreck before. The front end color doesn't match, at the same time all JDM have the ID VIN on top of the upper-tie bar support(the radiator support), whereas this one has been remove and re-stamp. Basically the whole front bulkhead has been painted with clearcoat, where Honda dosesn't go that far underneath the carriage to spray it nice.The reason I know this cause I have friends who work on body shops and paints cars for living.They tell me what to look for >>real closely on cars that have been wreck. Not only that, when I was at the show, there's was a guy speakin in Spanish(knew exactly what to look for, my guess he works on cars too!) pointed out the same thing I was looking for. On top of that, I hear guys in Miami are buying JDM cars from Jamica. For dirt cheap, especially wreck ones. Cars in Jamica are ALL JDM. If you live in Florida, your alot closer to the real deal JDM. And don't tell me there isn't cause a friend of mine came from there not to long ago and brought me some hard evidence. He took alot of picture not knowing what the hell he was taking.

 

I wonder if that would be legal in So Cal...hmm...

this is bert, i believe collin or "ferman" dave where there at the show too! donno, which one, but i remember bump into one of them while i was book on the car. car looks good in real person, actually, i wish i've taken pictures, but i do remember the original owner had a posted sign saying it was going to be for sale sometime this febraury. all i remember it was in front of a wheel booth or something like that

Nice, there is one running around my area w/some gunmetal ITR wheels, dvd, vafc, mugne lip, rear wing, and seat. Very nice car, however the owner thinks he has a ferrari.

 

does the JDM ITR have "ITR" logo under the speedo?

I don't know about you guys, but if I were to buy a CTR, I would prefer it to be bone stock.

I'd take a JDM ITR over a CTR anyday...

But the CTR is unique because nobody has one in North America (maybe 3 that I know of).

 

i think i saw a civic type-r last year cruising on the 210 freeway (pasadena) about a year ago. it was rhd, had recaros, championship white paint job, etc...dunno if it was real tho...

I saw this one HIN in Ft Lauderdale. I can't find the picture of the full body shot, but I think they said it was going to be on sale in Jan or Feb (this was back in Dec)
