Default LS VTEC ?'s

I just bought a 98 ls motor the other day, and i'm going to be piecing together my engine part by part (college budget here)
any suggestions for a setup?

12:1ish compression ratio + strong set of rods + beefy cams = happy ls/vtec owner

my ls vtec: block machined, ls crank polished, balnced, bluprinted, eagle h-beam rods, srp 11.5 pistons, type r girdle, type r oil pump
b16 head, milled, 3 angle valve job, port n polish, skunk2 valves, springs, reatiners, stage 2 cams
im extremly happy with this set up, final cost was less than 3k, take it i did all the machine work and building

i feel ya dude, i jus finished building ls/vtec set up and despite a small leak problem on the head/block/possible warpage/possible leak blah blah, its like night and day compared to the previous b16 set up.....

hit the dyno and get some numbers posted up....

you dont need all that to get power gsr head typr r cams and cam gears typr r pistons and piston rods then go with a b16 tranny and put a type r flywheel and an act 6 puck cluth and also but b&m short throw shifter go with msd ignition some noligy wires and u good ran a 13.2 at 99 sorry dont have the slip id post it but my car was stolin and when i loked for it when recoverd wasnt there but im still a happy owner of a ls v-tec but tryin to sell it $2500 ne body want it

thanks! i'm not too sure on what kind of setup i want though. there are so many choices with everything being interchangable. but i've been researching a lot...i'm doing this by my lonesome, so we'll seee what happens. i'll keep ya'll (if you're interested) posted on my progress. thanks again for the support!
