Map sensor question
Hello fellow honda heads,
I am in the process of swapping a 95 d16z6 in my 92 dx h/b. The map sensor in my 92 h/b is on the firewall and the wiring is routed to the shock tower harness on pass side not the engine harness. The map sensor on the z6 is on the TB and routes to engine harness. The top connector plug on the 92 h/b is missing 4 pinouts and the z6 plug has all pinouts filled. The question is which map sensor to use to avoid a code? The one on the firewall or extend the wire out to the TB? Either way, I will have a map sensor plug that will not be utilized. I did a search with minimal results on this topic. TIA.

huh???
u have 2 map sensor connections?
if there both hooked to the ecu, u will get a code
and ur car will run like crap(limp mode)
u need to have 1 go with the obd1 tb map and hook that up and see.

im not sure which motor you had in it before, but the b7 and z6's have the same bore size and throttle body, just different Map Sensor locations. I know with the b7, you could just use the one off the firewall and that b7 throttle body itself. It should bolt on the z6 manifold no prob.
Thanks for the info guys, sorry forgot to mention the engine in the 92 is the stock d15b7. Going through much oil a week plus it's embarrassing smothering the cars behind me in blue smoke just taking off from a stop.
