Default CEL code 43 - Fuel system delivery?

im trying new chips in my p28 and the one im using now is throwing this code. anyone know what it is and how to fix it? also, what is the problem of why it could throw it? i noticed when i start the car, it wont turn over on the first crank, but will fire up on the second try no problem. its getting great mileage as opposed to the 15mpg highway i was getting before on the other chip. i have a few others im gonna try, but id like to know what that CEL is.

I get that code when I am running too rich. Tune it with an afc and you should be fine.

too lean can do it too. 90% of the time 43 comes from the o2 reading.

I got rid of that CEL replacing O2 sensor.

I believe I got that code when I tried to tune the partial-throttle settings in my VAFC. I also got it from tuning too lean at WOT once as well.

It's a bastard code...

I get that stupid code too. I have noticed it wont come on until it is just about warmed up, the revs will slowly drop to about 1000 or 900, then the light will come on and the revs jump right up to about 1400-1600. I have recently replaced my o2 sensor. This is in my 92 si, h23a1
