motor question
i'm buying a prelude w/ a blown non v-tec (i think) h23 and I need to replace it obviously. h23's are harder to find for some reason than h22's and i don't have the money right now to get an h22, but doesn't an f22 work? i can get one of those for a few hundred, save up and put the h22 in over winter.. if an f22 works is it direct bolt in? i've looked at prelude stuff online everywhere but all anyone talks about are h22's and I can't figure out if the f22 whatever will work.
thanks
thanks
It will a fairly simple swap, don't forget you'll want the correct ecu. The H23 has a few extra sensors than the F22, so don't be surprised if a few of your harness plugs have nowhere to go (IAB vacuum control, Knock, and maybe a couple others).
i'm buying a car with a blown motor because it's oly $500. jdm headlights, excellent interior, not too many miles, sounded like a great deal to me!
on th enote of the f22, **** it, i'm going h22.. not worth doing two motor swaps to reach my final stage, i'll just save a little longer and go straight to an h22
anyone know anywhere online that sells h22's faily inexpensive? w/ all or most the required additional parts?
