Default NYCE1S Presents.....Turbo VR6 Dyno Video

I know it's not a Honda. However, this is my friends Turbo VR6 Jetta which was dynoed a few months ago. The car has since went through a few changes and hopefully it will hit the track once the fine tuning is finished.

Turbo VR6 1st Run

Turbo VR6 Run 2

Nice car, but that torque reading has got to be wrong. I know VR6 turbo's well, and that is waaay off.

Nice car, but something is really wrong with the dyno readout. That amount of torque is just not possible from a VR6. Maybe methanol and 40 psi would do it. **** if it would had that much torque it would broke any gear it was in. Not hating just something was wrong. What standalone is the car runnig?

I stand corrected on the torque numbers, as I was told that the dyno was measuring "Waste Spark" (whatever that means) which is a known to happen with VWs so the torque numbers should be divided by two. He has since change the setup a bit and we will be back on the dyno soon. I'll keep everyone posted.

no when its set to waste spark the dyno calculates based on the extra sparks. When its set on non waste spark the dyno calculates on individual cylinder fireing. Your rpms should be off if its in waste spark and the car is not or vice versa.
