Default reset ecu... deck led messed up now

changed out knock sensor 2 days ago... so after, i went to reset the ecu and it did (everything was off when i pulled the clock/radio fuse) ... but now my deck's display is messed up now...

everything functions properly, but my deck's led display would just randomly turn colors, like the brightness/contrast just shot up all the way... then it would randomly go away on its own or when i push a button...

any ideas? blown deck fuse? tia guys

thanks anyway man ... got some help from someone in the audio/security section... luckily he had a pioneer as well with the same problem...

its something called reverse mode... "if you do not perform an operation within 30 seconds, the screen indicators start to reverse, and then continue reversing every 10 seconds.."

you can just rid of this by pushing "5" on your key set while the h/u is off...

anyone know the purpose of this?

hahahaha I got the same problem the first time i reset my ecu with the pioneer headunit as well...

I guess the only point of the feature is only for aesthetic factor nothing else.

My friends Celica had the same problem. He turned the dim switch up all the way and it stopped. but if he dimmed it at all it would start flickering every once in a while.

my only guess is you have a pioneer with the organic EL display, and my thoughts are they do that to keep the display from burning out... ?
