Agreed. Or mod stock airbox with apex filter inside. And have a tube leading cold air leading to it. Thats what i would do.

Friend did this with an ITR airbox.

Whoa buddy put down the haterade, people like this have to be taught not made fun of.

Bro give your stock ARM with teh Apex filter and its connection piece a chance.

Response should be better, and have a pipe leading cold air to the filter. Would give you a best of both worlds type of response.

None per say. Its just another Intake question. Your question sounded opinionated from the beginning. You said you were confused whether you wanted good pedal response or that real loud noise from a CAI. Sounds like its a personal answer.

ok my appoligies..
well ok more detail of what im tossing and turning about..
i had a short ram installed and then my mechanic told me to put my stock air box back on.. so i did loved it. but then i got my hands on a CAI.. i installed that but had problems that i dont have splash guards so hydrolocksmore of a risk with out it..
so now i can get a splash guard for $70 and put my CAI back in
OR
i can get a $50 for a K&N panal filter for my stock box with no resoniator..
like i had in the first poist i had my reason for each one of them..
now im asking witch one would be better..
i know its not like a mod you guys do with turbo etc... but im kinda broke with the new engine etc...

I'll vote for the stock box and the K&N filter.

I would go with the stock arm with stock filter and box with a K&N, with the resonator removed. In essence it is a short ram, if you get a pipe leading cold air to it you get best of both worlds and cops wouldnt bother you, and you still get that "cool Vtec sound" When you floor it since there isnt no resonator to quiet it down.

Why would cops bother you for having a CAI?
