Question about converting parts from b18c1 to b18b1
Hi i have a question, ok i want to put things in my engine to bump up the hp on my 98 Acura integra i'm 17 and my parents are being some real dicks. they don't don't look under the hood of my car and if they did they wouldn't know what they were looking at but if it was all flashy and shiney they would know something wasn't right. sooo now i was thinking about installing a b18c1 intake manifold on my b18b1 and was told that it will not fit. if you can give me any advice about things in that categorty that i can get installed please let me know. or if there is any parts from a b18c1 that will add hp to my engine and will fit please advise me of that. Thanks for your time

A B18c1 (GSR) intake manifold uses duel stage runners. The butterflies for the second set of runners are controlled by the ecu. That's why it wouldnt work, because you dont have a need for the second set of runners or the ecu to control it.
You would be much better off going with a Skunk 2 manifold (ITR copy) or just port and polishing your stock intake manifold.
Also, you can easily build up your engine without making it flashy.

Go all-motor. Bore your engine out to 1.9L and add some 11.0:1 compression pistons. Get 404 cams and valvesprings/retainers. Portmatch your head, IM, and TB, valvejob, and get a Hondata tune. Simple 35-40 WHP on a good tune and you can rev to high heaven just like a VTEC motor.
Edit: Also run a JDM ITR header and ITR 2.5 inch exhaust with a 2.5 inch cat or straight pipe depending on emissions standards in your area.
