Default speedo MPH off

ok so i've searched already under "speedo", "speedo off", "speedo mph", and all of the posts i read had no help. My speedo is off by 5mph, i know it's not that much, but it's annoying and i would like to be able to fix it. So if anyone could make some suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Use a fork to pop the needle off. Get a friend to drive next to you and tell you how fast he is going then put your needle on for that speed. I've done this with my friend close to 15 times and it works everytime.

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your cluster. This is mearly a suggestion.

My '00 civic EX is just like that. I just live with it, and drive 5 mph faster.

just popping the needle off wont do nothing

it could be in his tire size/pressure too

the speedometer doesnt stay 5mph off throught the speed range.. its generally a %.. and not a set value
if he was doing 50mph and his speedo read 55mph... and he set his needle to 55 to fix it, at 80mph his needle could show 90mph..

fix it the right way
