GSR EGR ?
iv done some searching and found threads saying that there is no EGR in the 3rd gen integras ... well i have a 2000 integra gsr that is throwing the code for EGR and also i can smell gas of some sort ..... the only thing i can find by searching is that there isnt one ... so does anyone have any info on this ?
thanx !
thanx !
I don't know about the 2000's but my 94 doesn't have a EGR. Are you sure you are reading the code right or checking the right codes. I would think that a car without an egr would even have the code in the ecu. Kinda sounds weird

ya i think im reading it right . .its not too hard ... hah just count the longs and shorts .. whats werid is that ...the EGR is on the code error's list of codes ... not sure if its on the list of codes because its just an obd2 thing ? or maybe for some reason i have an auto ecu ? (if there is an p72 with egr ? ) not sure .. any more idea's on this ?

I would take it to an auto parts store and have them hook it up to the OBD2 code reader and see if the code is right. I was unaware that you could use the jumper wire technique with an obd2 and count the flashes, I thought that was only an OBD1 thing. I also thought that GS-R's were never offered in auto. Correct me if I'm retarded.

that is why people with perlude swaps and egr problems use Gs-r ecu`s to bypass the code and problem..</TD></TR></TABLE>
cool thanx for all your replies ... i swear iv counted it like 4 times hah i always see 8 long flashes .. then the other codes have 8 long flashes and one short , 8 long 2 short , 8 long 3 short .... i know iv counted it right .. but the only close thing i can come up with is instead of it being 8 its 7 and they are misfires ? but i was pretty sure the first code was 80.. hah .. i ll do them again tomarrow to verify but i went out today and counted ... so maybe one of the short flashes came in too quick ?

sorry, i don`t want to mess up your thread but i`m just gonna make it clear, to this dummy ^^^^^....
The computer is throwing a code...
YOU DON`T HAVE A EGR ON ...ANY... GS-R MOTOR US~OR~JDM...
JUST BECAUSE IT "SAYS" YOU HAVE ONE, YOU DON`T...
Grab a SHOP manual from the acura dealership... its $65, they may or may not have it.. its like two shipping if they don`t.. it will list all codes... and provide a trouble shooting procedure, to solve what is wrong.. step by step... if you plan on owning your car for more than a year.. buy it .. it will be your holly grail <(?? check spelling) its the whole anatomy of your car...("how sexy...")
-good luck.. peace out..
