Next mod for the R....
Well summer is coming up and I'm going to have some money for a big mod, but I don't know what to get. Here is a list of stuff I want which one would be best?
-Mugen Active Gate
-Mugen Lowdowns
-Mugen Intake
-S1 for passenger
-J's Racing Ti Exhaust (the one with the blue tip
)
I already have planned to track the car so that's not an option!!
What I really want is a 26mm Mugen Rear Sway Bar, but no one wants to sell me one!

You could get the Cusco 25mm bar - should be cheaper than the Mugen too.

2 sets of Cobalt Spec-VR's, Stainless lines, extra fluid, tires and an Autopower 4-point rollbar
Avoid the JDM Bring-bring!!
But that's just my opinion

Badass, but I personally would have trouble justifying that cost for a passenger seat.

I'd rather have an adjustable bar. IMO, the 26mm rear bar can be really overbearing on some setups.

Is it worth that price? I can't see how it is. What is it that is worth $1350? The unique rotor design? Seems expensive for a stock, one piston caliper, pads, and some rotors with some additional cooling properties. I'd rather just have the MAGBS rotor on my stock calipers lol...
For that much money I dont want a caliper with one big piston on the outside of the caliper. I already have that, uneven padwear, etc. For half that (or even less than half if you get lucky like Jay) you can have NSX calipers (or legend for even less) and utilize a considerably wider rotor for cooling. Spoon calipers are a better deal at that price to me. Ways to cool like ducting, removing heatsheilds and wider rotors + these options above (which will help pad wear, modulation, maybe even braking force) = considerable more return on your $.
Spend a bit more than listed above and get a monoblock....
Same with lowdowns. no height adjustment at that price range... for me its hard to justify.
There is an area on the value/name brand/quality graph where I like to be. And with these two items, I find there to be considerably more for the same price or slightly lower. (and spending a tad more will get you some really impressive stuff)
chris - sorry to get slightly OT, just answering a question.

Don't need the pads yet.
Stainless lines? Check.
Extra fluid? Check.
Tires? Check.
Autopower 4 point? Check.
Sparco harness? Check.
Bucket seat? Check.
Plans to attend next available track day? Check.

I was considering the Tein HT Damper.
Mugen Active Gate is a for sure unless I can get some AP or Endless at the same price. No spoon or NSX for me. I may do the TL if it works nice.

But I have the Mugen Twinloop already so I have to think hard about this one.

Whoa. is this new? I guess I could go look on their site eh?
45mm piston. Nice.
Holy ****! 22k front / 7k rear!
I hope you have staggered rim/tire size in mind and some wacky camber settings.

I have heard that the Spoon causes a softer pedal feel. I don't like that. The people that haved moved from NSX to Mugen have only good things to say and don't regret it.

Those are old Chris. I have been wanting those for a while but I don't know if you know how to use them. Adjustable compression and rebound (16 X16) That's crazy.
Just noticed the spring rates

The comptech rear sway bay / tie bar combo tightened up my car very nicely on the track. IMO it is a must have. BTW, it is adjustable
and looks badass! Check out modacar.com for it, that is where I got mine.

Spoon clappers feel much stiffer than stock. You should try mine Iggy before you rule them out. I guess it helps that we bled them 4 times and once over night. But out of all the things on my car I think the brakes were my best purchase. A tie being the ATS goodies in the tranny.
Now all I got to do is find out where the clunking noise from my suspension is coming from

I ordered an Alex 25mm rear sway through A&J last week. I'll give a review when it comes in and gets installed. I ran me $348CAD, which is what; about $75USD. J/K. Comes with the PU bushings too.
Just a thought
