I picked up #1013 from the bodyshop today, after being without it since Thanksgiving. It looks way better than it did even before my big crack-up. I got some minor front-end damage repaired, and made a minor cosmetic adjustment to the trunklid.

It drives awesome...I can't make an exact comparison because I have less aggressive tires on it now, but if anything it seems a little more light and tossable. I haven't really braked super-hard, or cornered on the edge yet, but the car's behavior seems entirely predictable. I am waiting on my ex-gf's digital camera, so I will post pics sometime tomorrow, probably.

But man do I feel great. I will see some of you at VIR in 2 weeks for sure.

I first thought that you were happy because of the Jordan news. Just in case anyone didn't know, Juanita Jordan isn't filing for divorce as of now. Yay! Did you see the Cavs game and then that sweet swat against the Hawks I believe? BTW, Jordan is my hero/idol, etc. I forgot what happened with your car, obviously front end damage, but I couldn't imagine not having my car for months. Glad to year the good news....have fun/stay safe!

Type R599 - yeah tell me about it. I feel so much better just having the damn thing. I still don't like JDM fronts but let's see if I'm not a little less irritable from now on...

Mike - I decided that the alignment issue wasn't that big of a deal. it was a pretty small difference, and I'd been driving on it since last March anyway.

The car feels exactly like I remember...I've been giving it a thorough workout for the last hour or so. same breakaway characteristics, brakes were still a little weird (been sitting a while, plus I have poo pooy $40-dollar street pads on). I can't wait to slap on the Azenis and hit the track.

Thanks are in order to Mike @ IPS. He supplied the Mugen spoiler and the OEM exhaust, which is on there while I wait for some other crap.
