Bad oil leak??
I'm having a bad oil leak now, and it all just started when I was driving last night. At first, it was a real slow leak, but nothing major until last night. I was smelling oil and saw alot of smoke in my mirror. I got home, popped my hood and noticed alot of oil on the driverside near the back of the motor. Does anyone know if there are oil lines or something on the driverside? Is there a gasket between the head and block? Is there anything else that could possibly be wrong on the driverside block? Are 5th Gen Preludes known to have a possible oil leak coming from around that side? Also, I have about 117K miles on the motor.

My car has a salvage title, do you think they'd still replace it?

That would be correct but you should call them back because they will be able to tell you if the recall was ever done on your car.

a friend's accord recently had a horrendous leak from the oil pressure sending unit, above the oil filter. i don't think that's a common place for a leak, but there aren't many places on the back of the block that can leak, really.

check the cam seals. i had an integra and i blew out the cam seals and my headgasket and there was white smoke coming out of it and oil on the driverside back area of the block. clean up the oil and then try to see where its leaking from
Thanks alot. I found the problem. I was missing one of the oil bolts. Its sits right beside your VIN number. I went to my GF's, dads salvage yard, and luckly he had a couple of Preludes there, so I was able to figure out what it was. Thanks again guys for all the help
