I will give you two peices of advice:

1.) If you are just starting out, dont mess with the car beyond tire pressures until you have some events under your belt--- like 10 events at least. Get to know the car first, and make sure its reliability issues are all taken care of too.

2.) Listen to Chris.

I agree with the above comments. Get to know the car, and learn to drive it before you start modifying it. You will appreciate what you end up doing more.

Also, yes, listen to Chris.

Depending on what class you want to be in. If you want to swap it with a B series your gonna be in Street Mod 2, and if you gut any of the front interior with the swap and other mods you'll be put into Over Street Prepared. Both of these classes are very competetive and have some good drivers/cars in. If you keep it stock you'll probably be in H-stock where you have a better chance with PAX Times, and CRX's are good AutoX cars. I am in SM2 because of my engine swap, suspension, and big brake upgrade. Fortunatly I usually race alone in my class, and might stay there because OSP is a big class with good cars, and yes VW rabbits dominate in that class. I say race it stock for a while, you'll learn more about your car and have a better chance.
