question:can you mate an OBD1 b18b with a cable b18a tranny?
ok cause im really deciding on going turbo now, because why spend all the money on going GSR or LS/vtec when I can spend equal to less and be much much faster with an LS-turbo. well I have a 160,xxx mile b18a in my 92 teg and I'm thinking that an old motor shouldnt be boosted when it has such high mileage already sooo I was thinking about swapping a 94-95 OBD1 LS long block into my 92 DA.this way I wouldnt have to deal with OBD2 to OBD1 conversion, and the motor will have low low low mileage. but my question is can the 94-95 b18b be mated to the cable tranny thats already in my DA ? if yes then its just a direct bolt on right? or what should I encounter also ? I know alot of you will tell me to search and I have and found alot of what i needed to know but i didnt find a topic on this question. thanks.
all of the b-series trannys will fit to all of the b-series blocks (disregarding the early prelude b20a motor which is not the same)
if you want another b18a/b bottom end then you can use one from any year without a prob.....even one from an obd2 car.....it makes no diff what so ever.

correct
correct
Since you said a 92 it will bolt up without a problem. If it was a 90 or 91, you would have to keep the flywheel off of the B18A because the input shaft is different size, but since it is a 92, the input shaft is the same size. Everything will line up nice and bump for a fellow LS-t!!
