cant rev past 6000 on 94 w/h22

Default cant rev past 6000 on 94 w/h22

my friend has a 94 prelude with h22 sawp, been fine for 2 years, not its been hesatating and hasn't peformed well, put on a vafc 2 today still, does the same thing wont rev past 6000, but with the vafc the green light turns red when it is at 6000. any ideas, started getting bad when he put a aem fuel rail.

VAFC **** turns green to red indicates lo cam changes into hi cam (Vtec kicks in).

ohh, ok so thats cool,
but as far as the motor not pasing 6,000 just like rev limiter effect, could it be the fuel pump?

no CEL lights?? cuz thats what happens wen u throw a code, the ECU goes into limp mode, and wont run properly

my car did a simular thing. It turned out that the vtec solenoid came unhooked. It never threw any codes, but the ecu seemed to go into this protective mode. I coudnt rev past 6000 rmp, but on my vafc light would come on to. I hooked it back up, and it ran fine.
