Default Intake mani woes

I am about to stuff a b18c1 with ITR cams into my 1991 civic hatch it'll be wired to obd-1 and tuned with chrome.

My question is I know the GSR loosing alot of mid with a differnt intake mani like the ITR, so I was wondering if the cams and tuning would be enough to stop that loss and still show gains in the whole power band.

This car is a DD with some mild racing use if I can i'd love to crack a 13 on street tires and still whoop around the cones.

I'll be using a cable y1 tranny if the shortness of the gears matters.

Am I even making the logical first step for more power I know the fit is tight as is with a c1 in a 4th gen will I run into fitmint problems.

TIA

it should level it out a little but I dont think it is going to change it to a perfect curve like you want. You should try port match and a polish job on the head if you can to free up some nice ponies.

other than that tipper cams dont have an insane lift on them. maybe consider swapping out your valves and retainers if you have the money. I am sure someone on this site has a chart with the lift/duration for various cams. the big thing you want to think about is are you going to dedicate to all motor... If you are. I would invest in individual throttle bodies that will probably fix your mani problems. they are not cheap tho.

yes i'm wanting to stay all motor I know that.

After shelling out for all this a P&P job is just too much to ask right now. I've read into cams and dont want to go farther untill I can do it well first time.

I love endyn's mani and have been told its better then ITBS each and every way. Is this true I know its a ton of money but just to see if its worth saving for and putting off more power mods now.

If so i'll get me a sexy front X member

i have an AEBS and it works fine. I would save up for individual throttle bodies. thay pull crazy ponies. but are not cheap. I am not sure if I want to stay all motor yet so I have been a little reluctant to even think about it.

ITB's might be tough to tune for the street. A single stage intake mani shouldn't kill your torque, as long as VTEC is set at the correct spot.
