I went to retard the timing on my obd0 b16 for nitrous, i was going to retard it 2 degrees with the distributer, but I noticed the car was already at about 14 degrees. I made sure the car was warm, the idle was around 750.

Just curious to see if it is normal for the timing to already be retarded, so I don't blow up my motor running the spray.

i think you should be fine. Im running stock timing which is 16deg on a b16 with 10lbs of boost. havent had a problem yet. been running strong for two years. i would just use 92octane and above gas
