I installed my MSD Power Cap and Blaster 2 ignition external coil. And I unscrewed the postive and negative wires and directly connected the to the external coil.

My thought was once this was done the internal Coil is bypass and the car would run off of the external coil.

I've tried to crank my Teg several times and I'm getting nothing!!!!

What could I have done wrong!!! Please Help???????????????

You have to take the Internal Coil out of the dist.

 

are you just trying to use the blaster coil and the cap for high voltage output???

Actually yes and no. It was time to change my distributor cap and rotor. So I decided to upgrade Msd. But I didn't know you needed a external coil. So I bought the Blaster2 and now I not getting anyting???

 

it seems that you are not hooking up the 5th wire....

Pretty much that, you have to empty out your distributor if your using the external Msd pack.

 

The Msd Power Cap and Blaster coil are working now. So far so good!!
