The light behind 3-4 on my fan control went out. I called Acura and they said those lights are replaceable (the buttons require a new unit). Their labor is pretty high though, does anyone know how to replace the bulbs?

yes i have open this up and replaced a light before...its not hard...you just have to take it apart...remember where screws go, fix the bulb and put it back together.


Its actually very simple.

 

It is very simple. You have to remove the console and pop the old bulb out and replace with new bulb.

 

just remove like the center console and stuff?

 

Yes you will have to remove the center console, but then there will be this inclosed box which houses all the hvac controls. To pull the box out of the dash you will have to remove a few screws and disconnect the cable going to the heater box.

From there I really don't remember what has to come off but just try to take the casing apart and find the bulb.

 

Am I trying to remove the faux carbon fiber and stuff also?
