Default For those building custom fuel systems...

We manufacture this small part, I sell them by the handful in the 350z community which is what we made them for. A group of guys who have ordered a lot of them ended up trying one out on a RSX race car project they have and they said it fit like a glove... so I thought I would at least mention it here. Its not the cheapest thing in the world but we are not a Taiwanese manufacturing plant and they are a little time consuming for us to machine... just thought I would show it... not sure if there is really a market for it in the RSX world.

(keep in mind this page is related to the 350z in what it says)

that is awesome I would need that except for the fact that its a bit costly

I have a custom fuel setup for my rsx turbo that included 3/8inch stainless steel lines with an fittings but 75 bucks is a lot heh

looks good and clean, but $75 is a lot for that fitting.

Cost Breakdown: Material (maybe $1), CNC Machine Time (couple min each on a very very very expensive machine that is operated for PROFIT!), 2 Viton O-Rings, O-Ring insertion time (bout 2 minutes each), one dowty seal washer, one 1/2"x20 to -6an male adapter...

When I did the math a while back I figured that they cost me about $42 bucks each in machine time and materials to make. All the time spent CAD designing then CNC programming then bench pressure testing... So I make roughly $33 on each one... oh but then I pack each one in these neato little padded envelopes theres a buck... then I loose $2 on the paypal or CC fees... so now I am really down to $30.

If I was lucky enough to ever sell 200 of them over 3 years, I made a profit of $6000... which now has me thinking twice about if it was ever even worth it to begin with!!!

i would rather not sell them then make much less... I just figured I would at least tell you guys WTF we charge so much for such a small part. If I sold 10 a day I would sell them for less.

Maybe if i provided a Spoon sticker with it?

oh BTW...

say I decided to make a whole bunch at one time (currently make them in sets of 10) and was open to possibly dropping the price if i saw a sales increase would result.

how much WOULD you pay for that thing? I dont know if I see myself ever going below 65-60 bucks... but what is that thing worth to ya?

heres the thing, not many people with RSX even do this upgrade of fuel lines, so its not like comon. I was needing this due to the fuel leaking out of the feed line but then I bought a 25Cent o-ring and it stopped it so I cant see myself spending any real money on such a thing, but it is cool

yes thats another thing i figured... you wouldnt NEED to change out any of the feed line stuff until you are breaking like 500whp... and i bet theres probably not even 5-6 rsx that do that... so ...

just thought i would at least show you guys!

thanks tho

Thanks for the effort, and it is a really cool part and makes it a lot more convenient. But there really just isnt that much of a market for something like that in the rsx. Not yet atleast.
