Default Accusump oil line plumbing question

I'm looking to install an accusump on my B16b block. My question is rather than installing the line from the accusump into the return line from my oil cooler going back to the sandwich plate, would plumbing it into the allen head plug (appears to be 1/2 npt, anyone know the thread on that?) on the intake side of head next to distributor be a viable option? I'm guessing that port was used for another purpose but it appears to be in the oil line circuit in the head. It would be much easier there than installing a T and the various fittings into the oil return line.
thanks in advance
