Default Rocket's H22 Cams?

Hey guys, I was looking at the RM H22 cams on KTeller. They seem to be a little bit bigger than type s cams, and they are a really good price(like 350 I think). Anyone have any experiance with them?

I want some cams to run on my stock 10.6:1 CR. I was going to go with the S2 ST2's, but it's like 1500 by the time you get the cams and valve train.

I have exchanged a few emails with Rocket Motorsports themselves and I was told they now grind fresh cores too, but they are 750, and bigger than the Skunk 2 or Crower stage 2's.

92lude for life. Whoo hooo.

ANyway, get the core grinds if they have those. Better quality. Also, get the rocket valve train. Heard nothing but good about it.

Both the regrinds and the fresh grinds are manufactured with some of the highest standards in the industry. You can run some very high spring pressures without having to worry about valvetrain damage on our fresh grinds.

I would love to get the fresh cores, but I got quoted 750 for those from Rocket. Kteller sells the regrinds for 350.

What do you guys think about the regrinds? I'm deff. NOT upping the compression in this motor. Do you think I will end up wanting bigger cams, or will stock CR just not be enough?

FYI, I do plan on getting the Rocket springs and retainers too.

An M22 grind would probably work well with your setup. I kinda prefer 11:1 compression, but with the displacement of an H22 you should be fine. FYI, our source for H series cores is currently out of stock and we don't know when they will be restocked. The regrinds should work well with your setup if you prefer them though.

What are the specs on the M22 grind? You have the regrinds in stock or I have to send my cores? Where do I get them from?

Thanks for the help.

I just received my cams a couple of weeks ago. Haven't gotten to install them yet b/c I want to get a before and after dyno for the h-t world, but it will be sooner or later.

We usually do stuff on a made to order basis, but Kteller might have some factory Honda cams to regrind in stock. He might also have already reground cams in stock, I'm not really sure. You would have to email him to find out. As for cams specs:

OK, now I'm a little confused. The specs on that link are for B series motors. Are the grinds going to be the same for an H22 I take it?

Which of those grinds then is the one that Kteller advertises on his site?

The grinds are the same for both motors. You can go with M20 or M21 specs on factory regrinds.

The cams that kteller has on his website are custom regrinds specifically made for the H22, not m20, m21 or m22. You would have to order through Kteller to get those specs.

Hmm, I'll have to get ahold of kteller then. If I wanted to go with the bigger M22 grind I have to wait for Rocket to get fresh cores in though huh?

Yep, I sent Rocket the email address in your profile, so he should be contacting you whenever he gets a chance.

the h22 cams were a spec done by rocket and with myself on my set, the first ones done.. we then bettere'd the specs and that is what is being done for my customers..

if you want a h22x or h24x style cam, those would need to be new oem blank cores, which we have in the works currently.
