HELP....my car is acting weird
i finally got my car running right except for when i rev my engine, the idle gets all fucked up and sounds like my car is gonna die, dont know what it idles at (dx=no tech) but i have a volt gauge install and its at 14 until i rev the car then it bogs down to 12 and spudders back and forth from 14-12....but if i keep a steady rev, the car is fine...also when i start up the car it idles fine...nothing wrong until i go to rev the car...
TIA

i had a blown HG...the car doesnt overheat and im not losing any coolant...so what should i do just replace the map sensor with a new one???
also i dont have CEL...i looked up map sensor and usually they get a CEL 3 or 5...could i still have a bad map sensor and not have a CEL???

usually you will get a cel. Did you bleed the coolant and get all the air out? It could also be a vacumn leak. All you did was replace the HG? No other parts?
this thread will help you determine if you have a vacumn leak somewhere.

HG, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, plugs, wires, basically a full tune up on the car...but all of that is done right...i check and made sure of it...the car idles perfectly if u just let it sit there and idle, but as soon as u go to rev it bogs up and down for a few seconds then goes back to normal
will check it again then....thanks for the help so far...im gonna go do these things and report back..hopefully it will be solve..cause i have a turbo kit for it but i want to solve all these little things first..Thanks so far for the help

No problem. I don't think it's any sensors since it wasn't doing it before the HG, timing belt replacement. It's most likely timing being off, or a vacumn leak. Usually a vacumn leak will cause idle surge so I'm leaning toward the timing being off. Being 1 or 2 teeth off can cause bogging.
