how to adjust clutch on a d series motor?

how to adjust clutch on a d series motor?
how do i adjust teh nut on teh clutch cable. it seems like my clutch wont engages until my foot is barely offf the pedal , like i dont need to put my foot on teh clutch all teh way in.
