Default JE rings in FRM sleeve

I need to put new rings in my H22 with the stock frm sleeves. Can i use JE rings? I've heard you can use Wiseco, but i'm wondering about JE.

Why would you want to use JE rings with OE pistons?

Cheaper should never influence any decision... As far as them lasting longer... Nope

What you want to hear is that the cheaper rings will work fine, but in reality... OE rings are the best you can get for a daily driven vehicle... A lot of people are using Honda rings with aftermarket pistons such as JE, CP, Arias, Wiseco, Mahle, etc.

Reasons being:

1. They are pre gapped
2. They will last longer

Well the rings aren't the problem when using different pistons in the H-series block.

I'm gonna say the JE piston rings SHOULD work, provided they're the same thicknesses as the OEM's. Would I use the JE's over the OEM's? Nope.

well, the reason i'm asking is bc obviously je rings are made to go with je pistons which are forged. so i didn't know if they would work with the frm or not.

next question, does anyone know where to get oem rings for a good price?
