Default One of HID lights is giving up on me (want to know why)

How can I test a HID ballast if it's still good or not? 'Cause one of the lights stopped working yesterday, but the bulb is fine. Maybe there is a bad contact, because sometimes it lights up back again if I try to wiggle around the contacts. But it doesn't make sense to me, because the other ballast works fine and it lights up as soon as you contact wires with the plug. I tried to swap wires (the top one in the picture) with the other ballast and it still does the same thing. I don't think there is a problem in the bottom ones and I cannot swap them. So could this be a sign of the ballast dying? It says it has a nominal life of >3200 hours, and I had the HIDs for only 7 months, which is no way gonna be over 3200 hours or even half.

I hope someone can help me with this.

seems to me that there's a lose contact on the ballast where it meets the wires. It's either that or a bad ground.
