With the cam & the crank pulley lined up the belt doesnt seem to line up. any ideas?

 

They're not just going to line up, you'll need to back the oil pump gear off just a little and the cam gear just a little, that way when you put the belt on and take up the slack it should line up. This takes a little trial and error, but don't rush it, you don't want the timing to be off, car will run like ***.
