Bar Sticker Question
I heard to get the bar sticker the engine has to be the same year or higher? is that true like i have 99 civic..so that means i need a 99-00 motor. i was just wondering if anyone could give me more info on this..thanks

you have a 99 car. you need a 99+ engine.... (not just up to 00)

by the book, the motor has to be the same year, or newer than the car. HOWEVER, the ref cannot directly determine the year of the motor. the ref goes by the OBD generation more or less. so if you swap, you'd be fine with an OBD2 motor (with all the USDM smog equipment) and a 99+ ecu.
