Chick question about a sqeaking issue...
Hey guys, just want to know if there is a "technical term" for the cover in my hatch and if there is a way to stop it from sqeaking whether it's from when I'm driving or when I have my speakers playing....sorry if this is a stupid one but I need some help...thanks!!
just out of curiosity is that cover in 2 peices? Mine is split and it rattles like a ****, I just deal with it because it looks really bare in the back without it.
hmm, honestly i have no idea why it does that, ive wondered the same thing on why it squeaks sometimes while you drive, sorry that i cant help ya, not a car expert (yet)

i have a civic, but i thought my cover was squeaking too.
it was actually the rubber seal for the hatch squeaking against the hatch. clean off the seal and hatch mating area and lube it up w/ some silicone grease. it may take a few days for the grease to absorb and work.

try using the hatch adjustment...there is one on each side of the hatch and it looks just like the hood adjustment under the hood..they aqre little black rubber pieces that you can twist in an out to adjust how the hatch sits..play around with it and see if it takes care of your problem

also the squeeking my be two pieces of plastic rubbing, a good solution for this is silicone rubber, or like shoe glue, just a lil dab at the contact point and it should take care of the noise
I'm not that good at explaining things like that but I think it sounds great....It's not that loud but the higher you get in the rpm's the louder it gets...I hope that helps but that's all I got...
