I searched "NOS" in All Motor and it only came up with 1 thread which was very unhelpful. Here is what I would like to know:
I have the following setup -
EK coupe with JDM ITR swap
approx. 45k miles on the engine, still has perfect compression and does not burn a drop of oil.
Short ram intake, Stock JDM 4-2-1 header, Greddy EVO catback
Exedy flywheel
Apexi VAFC
I want to know how well this motor responds to a small shot of NOS (~55). Do experts or those who have experience with NOS on this engine recommend a wet shot or a dry shot? What kit do you recommend (NOS, Nit. Works, ZEX, etc.)? Do I need any additional mods to handle the shot smoothly and without detonation (hondata, piggyback system that might be available for the kit, injectors, larger fuel pump, etc.)? What WHP, WTQ, and E.T. improvements has anyone seen on similar setups? Lastly, and most importantly, if a 55 shot is put on this engine with the proper additional mods (if applicable), and a very thorough tuning session, will my reliability and engine longevity be compromised at all? If so, how much? Thanks ya'll
I am open to feedback if anyone thinks I could get more bang for the buck on different mods.

Definately run a wet shot, get it tuned, be smart when you use it, and your motor will be happy.
Search in the F.I. board, there is a lot of good information on nitrous around here... us All Motor guys don't need no stinkin' nitrous.
A search for "Nitrous" in F.I. came up with 270 results.

I appreciate it. I noticed that more folks in the FI forum run NOS, but decided to post here nonetheless because I think there would be a big difference in the setups, results, and feedback for All Motor + NOS vs. FI + NOS. I will take your advice and read through more of those threads in the FI forum, but I think I will keep fishing in the All Motor forum for answers. Thanks
And it's nitrous, not NOS, NOS is a brand name. If you search for "nitrous", then you may get better results than searching for "NOS".

I searched again in All Motor using "Nitrous". It yielded more results, but none that answer my questions clearly. If anyone has more information, please share. Thanks

i would recomend running a wet kit even a direct port set up, with that u can safely spray a 75 shot on a stock type r motor. get a 255 intank pump, a fuel controller, colder plugs, fuel pressure regulator. tune it and u shouldnt have any problems.

Nawz yo!.. 75 shot, all day and night on a stock motor, 1 step colder plug and a bit of ignition retardation, and when ever possible, try to run a wet kit. It gives you a greater margin of error plus enables you to more safely run a bigger shot once you get tired of the small stuff

Great suggestions. Any idea what WHP, WTQ, and E.T. improvements I should see?

Nitrous loves compression, I learned that when I was living down south and had experiance being around it cause people I knew used it like crazy. But yeah around here there was a Type R running a 125 shot on a stock motor, it was a direct port wet set up, ran 12's all day, so it should produce good #s, id say you could get away with a 70+ set up and be cool with your motor, just do like most people have said so far and get a good fuel pump, retard the timing and colder spark plugs.
depends what your car is making on motor, should see around 220-240 range on the 55 shot. and 240+ with the 75 shot. thats just a ball park figure. and yes i would recomend a egt gauge. even though im stupid and have nothing to keep an eye on whats going on in my motor.
