I need some seat brackets for my kirkey racing seats can anyone make me some to mount in the stock seat location thanks

 

To mount mine, I just took the stock sliders and welded some square tubing to it that I could then mount the seat to. Worked out pretty good.

Good choice on Kirkey. I use the intermediate road race seat.

I don't have any pics of the fabrication, but it was pretty easy. Rip stock sliders off seat, bolt them back in the car, cut a few pieces of 1.5" square tubing to size, shim up with more tubing until level, then weld in place. To attach the seat to the bars I drilled and tapped 6 holes, then drilled holes in the base of the seat and attached with bolts and big area washers (to prevent pull-through in case of an accident)

Then I prettied it up by attaching some vinyl between the seat and sliders.

 

cool thread, i just made some custom brackets for my ae86 for kirkey intermediate road race seats too. do you want to bolt the seat directly to the bracket or you want to run sliders?

BTW... how wide are those seats above

 

well, I dont have a welder yet so im kinda stuck I just want the seats to bolt into the 4 holes like the factory seats

 

My seat is a 15.5. One of the snugger sizes.

 

what i do.. is the same thing.. i bolt the brackets in... and then i use flat bar about 3/16" thick and lay it out on them and then shim it if i need too.

I ended up just buying the universal ones. They weren't all that bad on the wallet.
